How Does Contour TRL Work?
Contour TRL works by delivering a highly controlled erbium laser beam that precisely removes thin layers of damaged skin while preserving surrounding healthy tissue. What to Expect During Contour TRL
Your Contour TRL Session
During your Contour TRL session, you’ll relax in a comfortable treatment room while your provider cleanses your skin and applies a topical or local anesthetic to ensure comfort. The laser handpiece is then guided with precision across the treatment area, removing controlled layers of damaged skin. You may feel warmth or a light snapping sensation as the laser works. Afterward, a soothing ointment is applied, and you’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions.
What Is the Downtime After Contour TRL?
Downtime varies based on treatment depth. Lighter resurfacing may involve 5 to 7 days of redness and peeling, while deeper sessions can require 10 to 14 days of intensive healing. You’ll notice peeling within the first 24 hours, followed by new skin forming over the next several days. Your provider will guide you through each stage and ensure your healing stays on track.
When Will You See Results?
Many patients begin to notice improvement once the initial redness fades and fresh skin appears, typically within one to two weeks. However, collagen remodeling continues for several months, meaning your skin will continue to improve in firmness, texture, and clarity. The final results usually develop between three and six months after treatment.
How Many Contour TRL Treatments Will You Need?
